This tutorial shows you how to use the features of your M570 Wireless Trackball in the Logitech SetPoint Mouse and Keyboard software, including:

Customizing the trackball buttons
To change the function of a trackball button to perform a specific task of your choosing:

Launch the Logitech SetPoint Software.
NOTE: If you don't have SetPoint installed, you can download it from the M570 Downloads Page.

Start > Programs > Logitech > Mouse and Keyboard > Mouse and Keyboard Settings

Click the My Mouse tab at the top of the SetPoint Settings window.

Choose the trackball button you want to customize in the Select Button field.

Choose the task you want to assign in the Select Task field.

Click Apply to save your settings and then OK to exit SetPoint.
Adjusting your trackball movements
To change the pointer speed, adjust the scrolling size and customize the cursor for your trackball in the software:

Click the My Mouse tab at the top of the SetPoint Settings window.

Click the cursor icon on the left toolbar.

Use the drop-down menus, sliders and check boxes to find the settings that are right for you.
NOTE: You can click the "?" for detailed descriptions of these options.

Click Apply to save your settings and then OK to exit SetPoint.
Checking the battery status
To check the battery status for your trackball in the software:

Click the My Mouse tab at the top of the SetPoint Settings window.

Click the battery icon on the left toolbar to display the Mouse Batteries screen.

View the status of your trackball's battery.
Customizing trackball settings for games
In addition to adjusting the standard trackball settings, you can specify certain settings when playing games. Here's how:

Click the My Mouse tab at the top of the SetPoint Settings window.

Click the chess game piece on the left toolbar to display the Game Settings tab.

Use the drop-down menus, sliders and check boxes to find the settings that are right for you.
NOTE: You can click the "?" for detailed descriptions of these options.

Click Apply to save your settings and then OK to exit SetPoint.
Advanced settings for specific applications
To customize button settings for specific applications:

Click the My Mouse tab at the top of the SetPoint Settings window.

Click the Advanced Settings mouse with a "+" icon in the left toolbar.

Select the "Enable application-specific button settings…" check box, if it isn't already selected.

Click the Configure button. The Application-Specific Button Settings window will display.

In the Select application field, choose the application you want to configure.

In the Select Button field, choose the button you want to program for the selected application.

In the Select task field, choose the task you want the button to perform for the selected application.
NOTE: Some buttons might not have all of the same options.

Click Apply to save your settings and then OK to exit SetPoint.
Trackball orientation settings

Click the My Mouse tab at the top of the SetPoint Settings window.

Click the orientation icon on the left toolbar to display the Orientation Settings screen.

Click the Set Orientation button and roll the trackball forward to align the trackball motion with the pointer motion.
NOTE: You can click the "?" beside Orientation Settings at the top for details.

Click Apply to save your settings and then OK to exit SetPoint.
Unifying software
Your trackball uses Logitech Unifying software. You can launch this software from the Unifying tab, as shown below.
Additional information
If you have more than one mouse or trackball and the M570 Wireless Trackball isn't currently displayed, click the down arrow next to the current product name and select it.
