Intel-based Apple Macintosh computers
WiLife does not have an Macintosh version of our WiLife application, but we do know that people have successfully run our software on the Mac Intel processor using a program called Bootcamp.
To run WiLife application on bootcamp, please do the following:
- Go to the Apple web site for instructions on installing Windows with Bootcamp
- Reboot into Windows and install WiLife software
Remote Viewing also requires some workarounds. To get a stream in Safari requires you download an asf file which is the stream you’re trying to view. This file can only work with windows media player.
You can also use Windows Media Player 9 for Macintosh.
Once WMP is installed, you can request a stream which could download a file to desktop and then open this file with WMP and after 10-15 seconds the video will stream.
