NOTE: Logitech Webcam Software 2.2 is not officially supported on Mac OS 10.7 (Lion).
Recently, Apple released version 10.7 of its OS under the name: Lion. There are some known issues when using Logitech Webcam Software version 2.20 with Lion. Logitech webcams continue to work well with MAC OS as UVC devices with QuickTime for video-recording and Photobooth for picture-taking. Also, the video-calling client compatibility remains stable using FaceTime HD, Skype, Logitech Vid HD, and Yahoo! Messenger, to name a few.
Known issues with Logitech Webcam Software version 2.20 and Lion:
NOTE: These issues affect some systems running Lion, while others aren't affected.
-
When recording videos using the small (compressed) format, a false error message shows that your hard drive is full and you can't successfully record at any resolution.
NOTE: If you don't see this error message, you may have selected "do not show me again" at some point, but you still aren't able to record.
-
When you try to play back videos recorded in the large (raw) format, a missing codec message appears and playback fails, regardless of the application. This can affect all videos that were recorded in this format using the webcam software in non-HD resolutions (720p and 1080p videos are okay).
