We studied the keycaps, switches and our keyboard's structure to understand if materials could have an impact on the noise. We've found that what makes the noise in a mechanical keyboard is primarily the switch itself.
MX Mechanical uses low-profile switches which we worked on to dampen the noise to make the keyboard pleasant to use in any conditions, at home or at work, without compromising the feel and tactility loved by users. Compared to traditional Logitech’s high-profile mechanical keyboards, MX Mechanical is quieter.
Overall, the switch mechanism is improved, more stable, solid and does not wobble. Keycaps fit perfectly to this cross stem comparable to MX stems.
As per our own tests, MX Mechanical keyboard is quieter compared to traditional Logitech’s high-profile mechanical keyboards.
