- Launch the Logitech Harmony Remote software and login to your Harmony account
- First we need to note the current settings for your remote and Extender. Click on the Devices tab
- Click on the Control Devices With... button

- Note which of your devices are controlled by the Wireless Extender and not the Harmony remote
- If you have assigned any of the devices that are mapped to the Wireless Extender to be controlled on specific IR ports, click on the check box for "Assign IR port for Wireless Extender" and click on the Next button. If you have not assigned any IR ports, please skip this step and go directly to step 5
- Note which port is used for each device that is mapped to the Wireless Extender and then click the Next button
- Once back on the Home screen, click on Remote Settings tab
- Click on the Manage Remotes button

- Click on the Remove button next to the Wireless Extender. Select Yes when prompted to confirm removing the Harmony Wireless Extender from your setup and click on the Next button
NOTE: Ensure you remove the Wireless Extender before the Harmony remote - Click on the Remove button next to the Harmony remote. Select Yes when prompted to confirm removing the Harmony remote from your setup and click on the Next button
- Click on the Remove button next to the Wireless Extender. Select Yes when prompted to confirm removing the Harmony Wireless Extender from your setup and click on the Next button
- You will then be prompted to connect your replacement remote. Please do so and click on the Next button
- Once your replacement remote has been detected, click on the Add button to add the replacement Wireless Extender
- Select Wireless Extender when asked which product you would like to add and click on the Next button
- Connect the Wireless Extender when prompted and click on the Next button
- If prompted to update after connecting, select No and click on the Next button
- Click on the Control Devices button

- Assign the devices that were previously controlled by the old Wireless Extender to be controlled by the replacement unit
- If you have assigned any of the devices that are mapped to the Wireless Extender to be controlled on specific IR ports, click on the check box for "Assign IR port for Wireless Extender" and click on the Next button. If you have not assigned any IR ports, please click on the Next button and go directly to step 15
- If necessary, select specific ports for your devices and then click on the Next button
- Click on the Update Remote button and follow the onscreen steps to update your Harmony remote and Wireless Extender
