The Logitech Speaker Stand can charge your iPad or iPad 2 battery while it is docked.
NOTE: While the dock connector will work with other Apple devices that use the 30-pin connector, we don't recommend it because the device may not be secure while on the dock connector.
If you're having issues charging your iPad when it is docked on your Logitech Speaker Stand, try the following:

Make sure your iPad is docked securely.

Try the dock in portrait setting. From the landscape setting, turn it clockwise and then ensure the iPad is seated properly.

Check that the power source is supplying power to the speaker stand. (NOTE: You can verify this by using the power button to turn the speaker stand ON/OFF. The power LED will glow blue when on, but even when powered off, the speaker stand will continue to charge your iPad.)
