If you're prompted for your original remote, you have the following options:

Selecting this prompts you to confirm commands from the original remote and answer questions about how your device operates.
OR

Selecting this prompts the software to try to find a close match to the device you entered and asks you questions about your device.

If you select Yes:

Use your original remote to teach commands to your Harmony remote.

Once the commands are confirmed, you might be prompted to add more commands.
NOTE: This usually only happens when the device is too new to be found in the database.

After confirming the commands, the software uses the information to find a similar device in the database.
NOTE: You might be asked additional questions about how the device operates.

Click Finish to add the device to your account.
After the device is added to your account, you can still add missing commands (see answer 360023256394).

If you select No:

The software automatically enters search mode to find a similar device in the database.
