Overview
We know how much creativity goes into personalizing your LIGHTSYNC device with custom lighting effects and ways to update or remove those effects. Here’s some information on how LIGHTSYNC effects work in Logitech G HUB today.
What’s Happening?
When you add a new LIGHTSYNC effect to your device via G HUB, you’ll notice there isn’t currently an option in the device settings page, or within the LIGHTSYNC menu, to fully remove a custom effect. The software allows you to replace the current selected custom effect with a new one, but not to delete or clear the effect entirely.
Why is This the Case?
This behavior is intentional. The effect is saved directly onto the device, and for technical reasons, your device’s firmware needs to have at least one lighting effect stored so it always has something to display.
What Can I Do?
If you’d like a different look without adding a new effect to the device, you can simply replace the current effect with another one using G HUB.
