Microphone and audio quality will be using analog audio when you use Zone Wired Earbuds with a 3.5mm connector. You can enjoy digital audio quality with USB-C and A connector. This is because the 3.5mm connector has an analog audio signal. There should be no perceptible difference in audio quality when changing between 3.5mm and USB-A/C.
