The G-25 racing wheel has varying degrees of compatibility with gaming consoles. The following will describe what level of compatibility the G-25 has with games on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 2.
Xbox 360:
The G25 is not designed to be used on the Xbox 360, and will not be detected if plugged into this console.
PlayStation 3:
The G25 will function for PS3 games if at least one of the following conditions is met:
- The game supports the Driving Force and Driving Force EX wheels
- The game supports the Driving Force Pro
- The game supports the G25
The G25 will automatically give preference to the most advanced level of control offered by the game, e.g. if the game supports both the Driving Force and Driving Force Pro, the G25 will function as a Driving Force Pro within the game. Depending on the level of support in the game, differing levels of features will be offered as according to below.
If the game supports the Driving Force and Driving Force EX:
The user will have a 200 degrees of freedom turn radius, force feedback effects, use of gas and brake pedals, and use of paddle shifters.
If the game supports the Driving Force Pro:
The user will have a 900 degrees of freedom turn radius, force feedback effects, use of paddle shifters, use of gas and brake pedals, and use of the stick shift in sequential mode ONLY.
If the game supports the G25:
The user will have up to 900 degrees of freedom turn radius (The wheel can be configured by the game to use anywhere from 40 to 900 degrees of freedom), force feedback effects, use of paddle shifters, use of gas, brake, and clutch (if supported in game), and stick shift in sequential or H-Gate mode.
PlayStation 2:
The G25 will function for PS2 games if at least one of the following conditions is met:
- The game supports the Driving Force and Driving Force EX wheels
- The game supports the Driving Force Pro
The G25 will automatically give preference to the most advanced level of control offered by the game, e.g. if the game supports both the Driving Force and Driving Force Pro, the G25 will function as a Driving Force Pro within the game.
