Symptom
Without making any changes to the Harmony 600 series remote, it has recently stopped controlling your devices.
Solution
- Ensure the batteries are not low. Replace if necessary
- If this does not resolve the issue, please re-install the firmware. To do this, log into the Logitech Harmony Remote Software on your computer
- Click on the button
- Click on the button. Follow the onscreen instructions to upgrade the firmware on your Harmony 600 Series remote
- Once the firmware upgrade is complete, click on the Update My Remote button
- Please test your remote. If this does not resolve the issue, please proceed to the next step
- Confirm that the remote is sending IR correctly:
- Start an Activity that you normally use. In this example, we will use the Watch TV Activity
- Press and hold a button down that used to work correctly. A good button to test is one of the Volume buttons. When holding down the button, ensure the IR send indicator flashes
- Using any digital camera, even one on a cell phone, camcorder or webcam, look through the screen of the camera at the front of the remote. You should see flashes of light as illustrated. If the remote does not flash, please contact Support. For comparison, try the same steps with a remote control that you know is working correctly
- If you do not have access to a digital camera, start an Activity on your Harmony remote and attempt to control one of your devices from a foot (30cm) away from the device’s Infrared sensor you may have to turn on the device manually. If the device does not respond, please contact Support
