If your iPad stops responding to the keyboard cover in apps such as Notes and Safari, use the steps below to try to resolve the issue. Test the keyboard between each step to see if it's working again.
NOTE: To conserve power, your keyboard cover enters sleep mode when there has been no activity. Before trying the following, press any key to wake the keyboard and try again. You may need to give it a few seconds after pressing a key.
-
Turn your keyboard cover off, and then back on.
-
Make sure your keyboard cover is charged. The indicator light will be red if there is less than 20% battery life left.
-
Check that Bluetooth is active and your keyboard cover is connected to your iPad (it could be paired, but not connected). Here's how:
- Tap Settings and then Bluetooth.
- Find "UltraThin for Air" and make sure it's connected. If not, tap it to connect.
-
Restart your iPad by pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons together until the screen goes blank. Wait for the iPad to reboot.
