Import your Sonos Favorites and stream music directly from Pandora, Google Play, TuneIn, Spotify, and more. Sit down and POP on some music. Things are simple when you use POP with Sonos.
Add Sonos
- Ensure your POP bridge and Sonos are on the same Wi‑Fi network.
- Open the Logitech POP app on your mobile device and select MENU in the upper left-hand corner.
- Tap MY DEVICES followed by + and then Sonos.
Create a recipe
Now that your Sonos device or devices have been added, it’s time to set up a recipe that includes your device(s):
- From the home screen, select your button / switch.
- Under your button / switch name, select the press configuration you would like to use (single, double, long).
- Tap Advanced Mode if you'd like to set your button / switch to skip songs rather than play/pause, or if you'd like to set this device up using a trigger.
(tapping Advanced Mode will also further explain this option)- By default, your button / switch will be configured to either Play or Pause Sonos. However, by using Advanced Mode you can instead configure POP to Skip Forward or Skip Backward when pressed.
- Drag your Sonos device or device(s) to the center area where it says DRAG DEVICES HERE.
- Tap the Sonos device(s) you just added to select a favorite station, volume and device state preferences.
- If you add a new favorite station to Sonos after your POP setup, add it to POP by navigating to MENU > MY DEVICES then tap the refresh icon ↻ located to the right of Sonos.
- Tap ✓ in the upper right-hand corner to complete your POP button / switch recipe.
Using Sonos groups
Sonos enhancements support detecting and grouping multiple devices. Grouping multiple Sonos:
- Drag and drop one Sonos device over the top of another to create a group.
- All Sonos devices can be grouped with one another (e.g., a PLAY-1 with a Play bar).
- Tapping on a group name provides additional options to select Sonos favorites.
Additional group rules
- If you add just one Sonos device to a recipe it will work as usual. If the Sonos was a member of a group, it gets broken out of that group and the old group stops working.
- If you add two or more Sonos devices to a recipe and set them all to the same favorite, then this will also create a Sonos group that plays in sync. This will allow you to set different volume levels for the Sonos devices in the group.
- Sonos devices that are part of a group may or may not be able to utilize some POP Advanced Mode features. This is because Sonos internally manages groups by having one device coordinate events and only that device will react to pause/play commands.
- If your Sonos device(s) are configured as a secondary speaker in a stereo pair, it will not show up when detecting devices. Only the primary Sonos device will appear.
- In general, creating and annihilating groups may take some time, be patient and wait until things have settled before starting the next command.
