To charge your iPad Pro with the BASE, use the charging cable and power adapter that came with your iPad. While you charge your iPad Pro on the BASE, use the lightning connector to charge your Apple pencil at the same time.
Connect the power adapter to the electrical outlet and then connect the charging cable to the lightning port in the back of the base.
Align the Smart Connector pins on the bottom of the iPad Pro with the Smart Connector pins on the BASE. You should feel the magnets grab — this ensures that the connectors are properly aligned. The upper side of the iPad should rest on the BASE.
When the connection is successful, you’ll hear and see visual feedback that it’s charging.
NOTE: BASE does not come with a charging cable.
