Checking the battery status
You can check your wireless touchpad battery status using the Logitech SetPoint mouse and keyboard software. See answer 360023405073 for instructions.
Installing new batteries
Open the battery case on the bottom of your wireless touchpad by pushing on the battery door tab. Insert your new batteries making sure they face the correct direction as shown.
Extending battery life
To make your batteries last longer, turn the touchpad off when not in use. Here are some other ways you can help extend the battery life:

Use only alkaline batteries. Non-alkaline batteries (such as NiMH,or NiCd) operate at a lower voltage and may affect the battery life.

Make sure replacement batteries are new and within the manufacturer's expiration date.

Don't mix old and new batteries.
