- Unplug the network adapter (ethernet bridge) from the power line — this will help isolate the device from the network.
- Use a working AC adapter (Powerplug) to plug the camera into the main power socket.
IMPORTANT: Make sure to wait a minimum of one minute after the camera is reconnected to the power socket before you go to Step 3. - Perform a paperclip reset for about 6-11 seconds. If the reset is done correctly, the network status LED will cycle from one color to another. For additional information, see:
- After the reboot and power-cycle phase, note the color of the network LED on the camera.
In stand-alone mode, the LED should turn solid yellow. This means the camera is functioning properly. You can try reconnecting the camera to your network. If the LED turns red, white, flashes green, or does not illuminate at all, record the LED behavior and contact us, noting the LED behavior in your message.
If the LED flashes red/yellow, there may be an issue with the SD card or there is no SD card in your camera. If there isn't an SD card in the camera, then please try inserting an SD card and then try the test again. If there is an SD card, then the card may be faulty. Please replace the SD card and try the test again.
