The G900 and G903 can function in both wireless and wired modes:
Wireless mode
Your mouse uses a USB gaming receiver to relay wireless signals from the mouse to your computer. To optimize the wireless connection, plug one end of the cable into your computer and the other end into the USB adapter and receiver. You can also plug the receiver directly into your computer. TIP: We recommend using the cable and adapter when you’re in wireless mode. This allows for better connectivity and easy access to the cable when you need to recharge.
Wired mode
The mouse can also be connected to your computer using the supplied USB charging cable. Your mouse works in data-over-cable mode when it’s plugged into the computer. This connection also charges the battery. NOTE: For more information on battery life and charging, see Check battery status and charge the G900 or G903 gaming mouse.
