To resolve this problem, do the following:

Try plugging your mouse into a different USB port.

Test your mouse on a different computer.
If the problem still persists, it may be caused by an incorrect setting in your mouse control panel. To resolve this, do the following:
If the Logitech Mouse and Keyboard software (SetPoint) is installed:

Open SetPoint (Start > Programs > Logitech > Mouse and Keyboard > Mouse and Keyboard Settings)

Click on the Mouse Movement tab (shown below):

Lower the mouse sensitivity setting as shown below:

Click Apply, then OK.
If SetPoint is not installed:

Go to your Mouse control panel (Start > Settings > Control Panel > Mouse)

Double-click on the Mouse control panel.

Select the Wheel Tab (shown below)

Set the scroll settings to one line as shown below.

Click Apply, then click OK.
