The range of the RF Extender depends on many factors, including building materials and interference from other wireless products.
If your RF Extender only responds to the Harmony remote when you are within a few feet of the RF Extender, we recommend you try the following:
- Change the location of your RF Extender. Changing the location of the RF Extender (2-3 feet) can make a significant difference. The RF (Radio Frequency) signal can degrade when going through brick (fireplace), metal (filing cabinet), mirrors, water (fish tank), large appliances, glass, etc.
- 900 MHz phones, baby monitors, X-10, and Bluetooth devices can interfere with the RF Extender. Change the location of the base for your phone, or change the frequency of the device (some baby monitors allow you to do this in order to reduce interference)
