If you can't hear audio through your F540 Wireless Headset, first make sure it is set up properly. Review the instructions and follow the setup process again for your particular console:
-
Nintendo Wii, see Knowledge Base article 20451
-
Sony PS3, see Knowledge Base article 20453
-
Microsoft Xbox 360, see Knowledge Base article 20454
If you still can't hear any audio after verifying the device is installed correctly:
-
Try recharging the headset by plugging it into the base station using the Micro-USB charging cable. Check that the power light is lit and then keep the headset plugged in until it is fully charged.
NOTE: Charging takes up to 4.5 hours, after which time the battery indicator light will stop flashing and be steadily lit.
-
Make sure your F540 is powered on. With your F540 fully charged, press and hold the power button for three seconds. The light on the headset should blink and then become a steady green.
NOTE: If your headset doesn't connect automatically when plugged in or it continues to blink, you may need to reconnect your F540 to the base station. See Knowledge Base article 20448.
-
If you have more than one device plugged into the F540, you might have the F540 set to the incorrect input. To resolve this, make sure the headset is turned on and connected. Then, press the Input selector button on the headset to change the input source. Depending on the number of devices you have connected, you may have to press this button more than once to select the correct audio input source.
NOTE: The headset will only let you change the input source if you have more than one device plugged into the base station. If you do have more than one, the input source light on the base station will change when the button is pressed.
-
Use the volume roller to increase the volume. Make sure the headset volume was not set to "0".
-
Try plugging the AV out of your console directly into your TV or AV system to verify that your home console is correctly outputting audio.
