To set up your Harmony One remote, you'll need to enter accurate information about your home entertainment devices into the Logitech Harmony Remote Software.

Before starting setup, fill in the Device Map Worksheet (see answer 360023250634) with the following device information:

• Type

• Manufacturer

• Model number

Most of this information can be found on the device itself. If the information isn't on the device, see your device documentation (ex. quick start guides, manuals).
(NOTE: See below for tips on proper identification of your home entertainment devices.)

Device Type

• Based on the function of the device

• Examples: TV, AV receiver, DVD player, game console, digital set-top box, media center PC, etc.

Device Manufacturer

• Also referred to as "Brand" or "Make"

• Typically visible on the front of the device

• Possibly visible on the side or rear of the device

• Sometimes in the same location as the device model number

• Can be found in device documentation

• Examples: Sony®, Microsoft®, Pioneer®, Scientific Atlanta®, Nintendo®

Device Model Number

• Can also be referred to as "Model" or "M/N"

• Possibly visible on the front, side, rear, or underside of the device

• Sometimes in the same location as the device manufacturer

• Typically located with the manufacturer information on the identification decal

• Can usually be found in device documentation

• May be referenced on the device manufacturer's website

• Device model number may be different from "model name"

• NOT typically visible on original device remote

• NOT referred to as "Serial number" or "S/N"

• Examples:  KDL-40XEX400 (TV), VSX-23TXH (AV receiver), ViP 722k (satellite box)

  IMPORTANT: Please do NOT try to guess the model number for a device. This could prevent you from successfully configuring your Harmony remote.
