This article addresses the following Hardware configurations
Macintosh Power PC Systems (OS 10.4.11 or higher)

Macintosh Intel Systems with built-in iSite Cameras (OS10.4.11 or higher)
Macintosh Intel Systems with no built in Camera's installed (OS10.4.11 or higher)

Macintosh Computers with NO Built-in iSite Cameras
(Intel Mac Mini, Intel Tower, Apple Macintosh Power PC computers)

1.  Install your QuickCam Vision Pro on your Mac

2.  Open iChat from your applications folder.

3.  If you do not have any accounts setup for iChat, click HERE.

4.  If you already have a Jabber, AIM, or Bonjour account set up on iChat:

     A)  Open your Bonjour, AIM, or Jabber Buddy list.

     B)  Click on the green icon next to your picture (shown below).

5.  This will launch a video preview window.  You can now invite your friends to view your webcam.

Your webcam is now ready to use.

Macintosh Computers with Built-in iSite Cameras
(Intel Mac Mini, Intel Tower, Apple Macintosh Power PC computers)

If you own an Intel Mac with an iSite camera built into either your computer or Apple Monitor, you will need to go into iChat and configure your settings to make your Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro your default device.  To set the Vision Pro as the default audio and video device:

1.  Install your QuickCam Vision Pro to your Mac

2.  Open iChat from your applications folder.

3.  If you do not have any account setup for iChat, click HERE.

4.  If you already have a Jabber, AIM, or Bonjour account set up on iChat:

A.  Open the iChat Preferences from the iChat menu (located in the left side of the menu bar).

B.  Click The Audio/Video tab in the menu bar.

C.  Click the drop down menu labeled "Camera" and select "LOGITECH CAMERA" (shown above).

D.  Now click the drop down menu labeled "Audio" and select the device labeled "Unknown USB Audio Device (shown below).  This device is the built in microphone in the camera.

7.  After you have configured your QuickCam Vision as your default video and audio input, you can now open a preview window and begin inviting friends to view your webcam.

A.  Open your Bonjour, AIM, or Jabber Buddy list.

B.  Click on the green icon next to your picture (shown below).

5.  This will launch a video preview window.  You can now invite your friends to view your webcam.

Your webcam is now ready to use.
