Intel and Power PC Macs without a built-in iSight webcam:
Photo Booth will automatically detect your Vision Pro and begin streaming video into the application as long as your Vision Pro is properly installed and is the only webcam connected to your Mac.
Intel Macs with a built-in iSight webcam:
If you have an Intel Mac with a built-in iSight, you will need to perform the following procedures to use your Vision Pro with Photo Booth:
-
Unplug your Vision Pro from your USB port before launching Photo Booth.
-
Launch Photo Booth. The application will open showing a video stream from your iSight.
-
Plug your Vision Pro back into the port. The video stream will automatically switch from your iSight to your Vision Pro.
Configuring your Vision Pro's microphone:
If you wish to use Vision Pro's built-in microphone for video recording in Photo Booth, you must first set up your System Preferences.
-
Open your System Preferences from either the Apple Menu or your Applications folder.
-
Click Sound in the System Preferences window (as shown below).
-
Now click the Input tab at the top of the window and select the "Unknown USB Audio Device".
NOTE: In Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard), the camera will display as "Logitech Camera".
-
Once selected, speak into the microphone to ensure the input level is responding.
-
Close the System Preferences once you have verified the microphone is working properly.
Your Vision Pro's microphone is now ready to record audio in Photo Booth.
