Make sure your mouse is connected directly to a USB port on your computer.

Try a different mouse pad.

Avoid using your mouse on:
- Glass or other see-through surfaces.
- Reflective surface such as a mirror or metal desk.
- Wood grains and grooved surfaces.
- Very high gloss finished surfaces.
Additional Information:
If the above steps do not solve your erratic cursor movement, the erratic movement may be caused by software.
If the cursor speed is set too fast, the cursor can move so fast it will appear erratic. This can be fixed by adjusting the mouse settings in Logitech's Mouse and Keyboard software (SetPoint). Please see Knowledge Base article 14175 for instructions.
