How long can the Logitech Pen be used before it needs to be recharged?
Once fully charged, Logitech Pen can deliver up to 15 days of regular school use* before it’s completely discharged.
*We define "regular school use” as 2.5 hours of daily use plus an additional 3.5 hours of incidental movement (travel to and from school, shuffling in a bag, and so on).
Other key factors that can impact battery life include but are not limited to the following: differing ambient environmental conditions, number of recharge cycles, usage over time, differences in performance between Chromebook manufacturers, etc.
Quick-charge functionality provides up to 30 minutes of use off just a 30-second charge.
When should I charge Logitech Pen?
If you see a yellow or amber blinking light when you start writing using the Logitech Pen, the battery is low and it’s time to charge.
You can still use the pen for some time when the light first starts blinking.
If the pen is completely discharged, there will be no LED indicator.
How can I charge Logitech Pen?
- Plug the standard USB-C cable that's common with Chromebooks into the stylus to bring it to a full charge.
- A white slow blinking or breathing light indicates the stylus is charging.
- A solid white light indicates the stylus is fully charged.
What are the smart power management features in the Logitech Pen?
The Logitech Pen has some key features to help with power management:
The pen is packaged and sent out in a low-power shipping mode. This ensures that the product’s battery life is maximized when it's ready to be used. The product can be taken out of shipping mode just by plugging it in to charge.
When in use, the product wakes up automatically and works as soon as the tip comes in contact with a compatible Chromebook screen. It automatically goes to sleep after it’s put down and not in contact with the screen.
If Logitech Pen is not recharged soon after it has been depleted, the product goes into a low-power dormant state that will allow the stylus to be recharged up to 6 months later and function without any issues.
