Why is Logitech Capture such a resource hog?

On our Windows 10 machines, when you first start Logitech Capture it in turn starts about 20 "helper" processes and a total of almost 600 new threads (!!!).  And, from all appearances, most of those things just remain idle once they've been started.

Consequently, Logitech Capture is the slowest launching app on our machine.

I don't understand why it works like this and why it needs to start so many unused processes.

Any way to trim this all down so that it starts faster?

  This might also be the reason, why it is not working under MAC OS 11 yet. It's a bit of a shame to be honest. Logitechs Hardware is nearly everywhere sold out but they can't keep up to produce the necessary software.
