Circle (original) won’t connect to wifi

I’m trying to put my Circle camera onto my new network. I’ve got a Linksys Velop mesh network with multiple nodes. Every time I try to connect (which failed without a network password so I now use one) it gets to joining and then won’t join the network. It just sits on Joining and says the little “this is taking too long message”. Then if I cancel it won’t allow me to find a network again, the little spinning circle never stops to find the nearby networks. I then have to reset the camera and uninstall the app and reinstall. Please can someone help?
