For those who might be interested…. amazon.es has Harmony Elite back in stock with a pretty amazing price! Just purchased another one (in case my old one brakes). Wonder if logitech still produces them

Thanks for the tip Mario, I just ordered a new Harmony Elite from them. It will replace my old Harmony One that was starting to show its age after maybe a decade of good use. I hope the Elite will serve me well for another decade or more. I hope that Logitech keeps the promise of updating the database and keeping the configuration servers alive for a long, long time.

And again, what a stupid move to discontinue this beauties.

Thanks for the tip. I ordered one for myself for 200 euros to keep as a spare. My Elite is already like 4 years old and having known it is no longer manufactured, I was worrying when it was going to fail eventually leaving me in the dark. All my previous Harmony remotes used to fail previously but not sooner than after a few years of daily use.

I recently saw folks at 'local auction sites' (should rather be called as 'scalpers') selling brand new Elite sets that they were claiming that had been purchased at Amazon. But the asking price was 3 times of that from Amazon (really). So it is now more sought after than GPUs ? :-)

Mine (ordered for 200 euros at amazon.es) has just arrived, brand new. Current price on amazon.es is now 380 euros (but item not sold by Amazon). And amazon.pl (item sold by Amazon) has it for equivalent of 580 euros (!!!).

I suggest any of you who love your Harmony remotes check retailers right away and purchase one or two new ones to hold in stock for future use.  There are no competitive products that offer similar functionality.

I just bought four Harmony Elite's from Best Buy.  I'm quite confident that even if I don't want them forever they will actually increase in value if I decide to sell one or more on ebay.

The Best Buy price is still $399 - on ebay they're already going for upwards of $500.

Will Logitech do anything for me for my inconvenience? We do not expect your Harmony experience to be impacted as a result of this decision.

but why is there no Playstation 5 Support yet.

Why Philips Pronto codes are not any more importable from the support?

Things are not going so well with the first shipments of the KickStarter funded SofaBaton X1. It has a lot of promise and is the right idea but it seems like they are clueless in developing a consumer product of that level of complexity.

So far, Harmony still stands alone. Logi needs to rethink this decision and find a way to properly keep it going, even if it means paring down the number of handset options, probably a good idea anyway. If not, sell it off to a company that can keep it going.

To reiterate, this is bad precedent for anyone considering a Logitech product for professional AV.

I am totally shocked hearing this news, I am using 3 Harmony Elite with Hub in 3 different rooms and these remotes make my life much more comfortable, I can not imagine why such a super remote can be disappeared in our modern life???

I was in the Pro channel with two clients that were wanting the 2400, plus training on the product just a few weeks before the closure.  No word at all to us and no response to calls or emails.  Logitech should have done what Samsung did with their Smart Things hub.  License the Harmony Remote to a third party and at least get some income to fund the support side of things and pocket some profit as well.

I am being honest. Sorry if you don't like it. Apple struck it rich with its products, creating a slew of millionaires (and at least a few of billionaires) in the process. Unfortunately, Logitech took an equally excellent device and tried to apply the same recipe, bungled it, and the results were drastically different.

Please, Logitech, spin off the product and give it to another company. Please don't abandon us. Whether you support it or not, we know you'll ditch it if the retail products aren't available.

    Regards best binoculars for beach

I was able to do an update to my 890 a couple of days ago, though the response was sluggish.

Since then, I have been unable to connect and get the software to recognize my remote.

Has the end of the line arrived, or does someone need to reboot a server or two somewhere?

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software, but this made no difference.

Mike Ransom, I was able to update a Harmony Elite for a client, without problems about a week or so ago. Making some changes and updates on another clients remote, this weekend. If I experience any problems, I'll let you know.

The 890 uses the old software. I won't be surprised if Logitech is dropping support for it. Just what we can expect to see for MyHarmony in a few yeras.

I was able to update the firmware and update the AV profile on a Harmony 890 just now. No problems at all. Harmony Software 7.7.0 under Win10

Using a Harmony Elite. Controlling a Sony Bravia TV XBR 65X950H and a Spectrum 201-H Cable Box. I'm having problems getting the TV and Cable box to turn on and off properly on a consistent basis. Sometimes I think the devices are acting like they have been double clicked. No such issues when using the Denon AVR or Sony Blu Ray during activities. All the devices except for the TV are behind closed doors in a cabinet and use RF signals. TV is using IR signal. Any ideas what could be causing my clients problem? Timing issue???

Brian in Ohio Check and make sure HDMI-CEC is turned off on the Sony and Cable box.  I think Sony calls it Bravia Link.  CEC can be sending power toggle events on it's own, causing the issues you describe.  Hope this helps.

<removed spam> Logitech will continue to maintain the Harmony database and offer software updates for both the Harmony desktop software and the iOS and Android apps.

So sad, a great product. What a shame and disappointment.

Once again, Logitech continues to kill off beloved product lines. Amazing how often you do this.

A truly terrible decision and many users such as myself will be avoiding all logitech products going forward.

It was bad enough to kill off the squeezebox line but this is unacceptable. You are about to have a lot of very annoyed ex customers.

MPO, they killed off the universal remote line over a year ago. Despite numerous threats to boycott Logitech products and thousands of former customers expressing their disappointment with Logitech's decision, they just don't seem to care. I am a home theater installer and most of the other universal remotes out there are a nightmare to program compared to the Harmony remotes or are just too complex for the average homeowner. I feel your pain.

If Harmony stops sending commands or is not responding we recommend rebooting your remote. You will not lose any device information. If you're using a Harmony hub‑based product, there's no need to power off your devices before rebooting your remote.
