    Hi Dave,

Thank you for choosing Logitech Circle Doorbell.
I'm sorry to hear you are having a problem with your doorbell.

Can you try disabling the night vision for one night and let me know if the doorbell still overheats?

    Best Regards

I will try that as soon as I can. I’m waiting for another hot evening that causes overheating to test this.

The last time, the doorbell overheated multiple times in a row (overheat, go offline, come online, overheat again, go offline again, come back online again).

The doorbell overheated last night, after dark. I turned off the night light. It did not overheat again -- which it did previously. Tonight is also quite hot, and I'm leaving the light off to see if it overheats or not.

Had the same issue last night -- will trying turning off night vision tonight.

It is kind of nuts that this doorbell seems unable to be...outside...

Mine overheats all day, everyday.  If the sun is up, it is probably offline for half the time, which makes it fairly useless.  Haven't had the problem at night.

I've confirmed that the night vision light was exacerbating the overheating problem at night. With the light on, it overheats on hot evenings / nights repeatedly. With the light manually turned off, it doesn't overheat at night.

So, I have to leave the light off.

I wish there was at least an option to turn the light on when motion is detected.
