Circle Setup fails

When I try to set up the Circle using the iOS app I get as far as the "Now connecting to your cloud" screen.

The app stays on this screen for quite some time before failing and asking me to hard reset the Circle. This process then repeats.

To clarify - my iPhone can access Circle via Bluetooth and the Circle can connect to my WiFi successfully (according to the app). It only appears to fail at the step described above

How can I proceed? Or is the item faulty?

  Hello @Adam Baker - Welcome to the community!

   

  Do you use iOS10? Some users reported issues with iOS10 and the LogiCircle cameras, most of which could be solved by simply reinstalling the app and then reset the camera and set it up again. Did you already reinstall the app? I'd recommend at this point to already open a support request to cover all grounds on: http://support.logitech - please check if you can set up your LogiCircle, using a different phone or tablet. This would be valuable information. Let us know, what you find out.

  Hi,

   

  Yes I use iOS10. I restarted the camera several times and deleted and re-installed the app a couple of times. Nothing worked, I sent the camera back and got a replacement, this one appears to work.

  Hello @Adam Baker !

   

  All right - I'm glad to hear your problem is solved. From what I read I though you already tried the pin-hole reset (keep holding after the first beep, release after the double-beep). Maybe this steps helps others in a similar situation. Should you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

  the ****** thing (logi circle ) won't connect with the cloud, even if I do the  pin-hole reset several times. It still doensn't connect...wat do I do now ? 

  (and if someone can answer me in dutch, that would be superbe!! my english isn't that good)

  Hello @genoveva sgroi - Welkom op de community!

   

  Graag wil ik u vragen om de app van uw telefoon te verwijderen en daarna opnieuw te installeren en te openen. Vervolgens logt u in op uw Circle account, na het inloggen voert u een "pinhole" reset uit middels met een paperclip op het knopje te drukken in het gaatje welke u kunt vinden op de ring aan de achterkant van de camera. Let wel dat u geen object met een scherpe punt gebruikt om beschadiging van het knopje te vermijden! Nu voegt u de camera weer toe aan de app. Zodra er verbinding is gemaakt met Bluetooth zal er gevraagd worden om uw Wifi wachtwoord, de inloggegevens van de Circle app worden rechtstreeks van de app overgenomen. Verder hoeft u niets meer te doen behalve naar de instellingen te gaan en de camera in te stellen naar uw wensen.
