Circle 2 Camera is recording while "off"

Right now, my camera is set to "off'. If I try to look at live view, it says offline. If I try to turn it on, it says 'we can't save your settings right now.' I turned the camera off to put it on the charger two days ago. However, I have just discovered that the camera has been recording once or twice every minute since Aug 5 at 11:14PM (now Aug 7 9:23AM). The camera was face down so nothing would have been triggering it even if the camera was 'on.' It is currently still recording and since the settings say the camera is off I have no way of stopping it. I have had nothing but issues with the Circle 2 - this is my final straw and the camera is going to be returned.
