    Hello @Daniel Chow?

I will be more than happy to assist with connecting to your Circle 2 via Homekit when you are on a different network.

In order to solve the issue, please check the following :

    • If you set up the camera in the Logi Circle app, that counts for one stream. You will only have access to one additional stream from the Apple Home app on your iPhone or iPad.
    • If the Circle app is used to turn the camera off or put into Privacy Mode, the Apple Home app stream will be disabled.

If that doe snot solve the problem, please contact us at innercircle@logitech.com so we can assist further.

    ?Warm regards,

    Hi @Daniel Chow?

To use HomeKit "out of the house", you need to have an Apple device capable of acting as an Apple Home Hub. HomeKit is normally a local LAN only protocol and requires a second device like an Apple TV or iPad to bridge the protocol to Apple's cloud.

See Apple's FAQ page here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207057

    Best regards,

Thanks @Marion Loquais? and @Aron Rosenberg? for replying in this thread! :)

@Marion Loquais? I've only have the Circle 2 connected to 2 streams, one is the Circle App and other is the iOS Home App. The Circle 2 is on and not set in Privacy Mode.

@Aron Rosenberg? I've been using a Apple TV as a hub and it works great with my other HomeKit accessories "out of the house" (I've got a Eve sensor and a Eve power outlet from Elgato) . The Circle 2 motion sensor also seems to work "out of the house", it is only the iOS Home App live stream from the Circle 2 that is causing issues.

Any other suggestions for troubleshooting this problem?

@Daniel Chow? What generation Apple TV do you have? The Apple FAQ states cameras only work with 4th Gen Apple TV or newer.

HomeKit uses a different streaming protocol than Circle does natively which is why there are restrictions on # of concurrent viewers in HK only vs combined mode. If you have the camera setup in both Apps, I would recommend using the Circle App for live view as that doesn't have the concurrency restriction and will allow the larger resolution to be used for live view if its available and you have enabled that.

@Aron Rosenberg You nailed it! I was using a Apple TV 3rd Gen, I then switched to using an iPad mini as my HomeKit Hub and now the Circle live stream (The famous "Out of the House" edition) via HomeKit works beautifully! :D Thanks!
