Hello @Ellis Henderson? ! Welcome to the community !

I will be more than happy to answer your question regarding the bandwidth consumption of Circle 2.

Bandwidth consumption is variable and depends on a number of things, including Circle’s resolution (Settings menu > More Settings > Resolution). The approximate bandwidth consumption for each resolution is:

    > 360p: 250kbps

    > 720p: 500kbps

    > 1080p: 1000 kbps

As a reminder, Circle starts recording (and uploading to the cloud) every time it detects motion, which also affects bandwidth consumption (the more activity detected, the more bandwidth consumed). Viewing activity bubbles on the timeline, generating and downloading Day Briefs on your mobile devices will also increase your bandwidth consumption.

If you want to limit bandwidth consumption and you only want Circle to stream (view live video) and record when you’re watching, try enabling Battery Saving Mode (Settings menu > More Settings > Battery Saving Mode). You can also try Privacy Mode (Settings menu > Privacy Mode), which doesn’t record, but lets you view live video.

If you have further questions, please let me know.

    ?Warm regards,

Thank you for your response. Here is what I want to focus on, please: is it correct to say that when the Circle 2 is not recording (and uploading to the Cloud), there is essentially zero bandwidth usage? Thanks!
