Circle 2 Google Assistant Commands

Currently in addition to the "show me <camera name>", you can say 'Turn Off Privacy Mode on <camera name>' and 'Turn On <camera name>.

However, Google's rules don't allow "Turn On Privacy Mode", or "Turn Off" the camera to currently be used since they are considered "secure" commands. Neither Google or Logitech want a thief to shout into your house window "Okay Google, turn off all the cameras", then rob you blind with no footage saved. Google has announced that they are working on voice identification and secure command access. When that launches we will be able to enable those invocations.

Thanks for the quick reply - that makes a lot of sense! Certainly wouldn’t want a stranger turning off my cam so easily! Fingers crossed Google successfully launch the secure command access then :) Mainly I just want to turn privacy mode on when I get in, to avoid endless clips of myself lounging around on my sofa!

If you use notifications, you can enable Smart Location so that push notifications are automatically suppressed when you are home. Look in the Menu -> Smart Alerts section for that.

We are working on enhancements to Smart Location to control more than just notifications. Stay tuned!

Logi_Aron - I have tried the 'Record a clip on ' command with no luck. Has that command been removed? Or has the syntax changed?

@Joe Laatsch?  So, it turns out Google hasn't publicly released the "save a clip" command yet. It worked on our internal test accounts because we were whitelisted to test it.

Thank you for the update. Any ETA? Will you know when it goes public? And as long as I’m asking questions, it’s off topic, but any plans for IFTTT/Stringify integration?
