Will this allow Harmony Hub owners to use voice (Siri) to turn on/change/turn off Activities??

@Ralfi Alfieri?, The IFTTT integration above is only for Logitech Circle cameras and has nothing to do with the Harmony products.

I currently don't have Circle Safe Premium, but I want to know what "further modifications" can be done via IFTTT. I would like to be able turn on/off motion triggers on my three Logi Circle 2 cameras when I leave/return home.

This would be like a geo-fencing functionality, but w/o turning on geo-fencing. I am leery about geo-fencing with the thought of having a phone stolen by a person (known/unknown), then being able to bypass a security system by coming in vicinity of the home. I also don't like the concept of applications always using location services on mobile devices.

My end desire is to be able to "arm" the cameras for motion detection when my home alarm system is armed away. When the alarm system is disarmed, then cameras would be "disarmed" for motion detection.

Are there any plans to increase functionality of IFTTT for non premium subscribers?

Thanks in advance for your consideration!

You can do all of that with the IFTTT integration and you don't need Circle Safe Premium to set the "Arm" state of the system. The IFTTT integration allows control of the "Recording On/Off" property for free users.

Thanks for the quick response. I am aware of the following triggers/actions in IFTTT: "Turn on camera", "Turn off camera", "Disable Recording", "Enable Recording", "Start Recording". I am looking to turn on "Smart Alerts" via IFTTT which enables motion detection via my iOS homekit configuration, but the "Smart Alerts" IFTTT action is not available.

I leave my cameras configured as on/recording all the time as I have a 4 year old that it's fun to catch his antics. I think from your earlier reply, a possible configuration that you are suggesting would be in the case that my cameras were off/not recording while I am at home, by use of IFTTT, I could set up an action that says when alarm system is set to a state of "arm away", set Logi camera to "On" and/or "Enable Recording"; which would emulate arming the system. If I had smart alerts always on, then when I turned "on" the camera via IFTTT, I assume smart alerts would still be enabled, thus enable the motion detection function. But again, that's not my camera use workflow.

So I would like to request that "smart alerts" action access be enabled via your IFTTT integration.

Again, thanks in advance for any assistance and consideration.

@Arras Martin?, You should be able to have IFTTT send you alerts based on the Recording Started Trigger and bypass Circle native notifications. I think you can do this by adding a filter to your IFTTT applet.

It doesn't work at all for me.? Sometimes IFTTT sends me a trigger notification but it hasn't actually actioned the trigger. I've set schedule recording which never happens. And disable when entering an area. It recognises that I've entered but it doesn't stop recording. I deleted IFTTT months ago, giving up. I've just redownloaded everything and still not working. I understand it's a test version but it should at least easily schedule recording??

Hi @Sam Jarrett?, We have released version 3.4 of the Circle Mobile apps today which natively support multi-user based Smart Location and Automation of Camera On/Off so you don't need IFTTT to enable that.

Hi Aron. I have downloaded the update which only turn off the camera when you arrive home, not to turn on. I don't know if it's different if you pay for the higher level of membership. IFTTT still doesn't work when scheduling to turn on in the morning.

Hi @Sam Jarrett?, Subscribing to Circle Safe Premium only gives you the extra ability in IFTTT to "filter" on the person detected attribute. All users should be able to use the scheduling and GeoFencing support. If you look in IFTTT account, does it show any errors or warnings when the applets run? Would you be willing to post a MAC address of your camera so we can look up logs on our end?

    Hello,

Currently I am using this applet, but I am encountering a small problem. I have a Circle Safe Premium account, which should enable me to select a motion zone as a trigger for an IFTTT action.

I have 3 Logitech Circle 2 cameras hanging around my house. They all have multiple zones set up, which I would like to read individually in IFTTT. Each zone should send a trigger to my Smart Home controller (Homey).

The problem is, when I select a motion zone of my 2nd or 3rd camera, it always selects a motion zone from the 1st camera. It seems that the numbering of zones doesn't continue for each camera I have, but it starts again at 1 for each camera. So when I select the 2nd Motion zone of my 2nd camera, I end up with the 2nd Motion zone of the 1st camera...

Is there anything you can do about this??

    Many thanks in advance!

IFTTT presents the drop down for selecting the Motion Zone in a single dropdown that holds the Zone names for all Cameras. Please make sure that you scroll far enough down that you see the other cameras names and then select the zone underneath the camera name. For this to work correctly, you need to give each camera a unique name.

I thinks you don't get the problem... My cameras do have unique names. I scroll all the way down and select a zone from the 3rd camera. When the dropdown disappears, it shows me a zone of the first camera. Which is not what I want.

    Hi dyan.elbertsen,

We understand the issue now, and confirm it is a bug on our end. The engineering team has made a fix and once it is tested, it will be pushed live. With the tight timing of the holidays this may not be until after Thanksgiving.

There is no workaround right now we can find until we push the fix live.

Hi dyan.elbertsen - Our workaround for IFTTT's bug is now live for the zone selection issue.
