Circle 2 wire-free: always offline
-
After receiving my latest firmware update 5.6.28 late yesterday my newest camera - circle 2 (8 x cameras in total) has stopped working. I have removed the camera from the system and tried to reinstall it, but it will only show a white light. I cannot get it to reset using the side button either. Has your update rendered my camera unusable?
Looking forward to hearing from you very shortly.

@David Tansley?, Is the light solid white or blinking white? Solid white means its online and ready. For the reset button, it can require a bit of force to press correctly. Also, is your cover aligned correctly on the camera module? Check to see if you see the speaker holes through the speaker opening.

Hi Aron,
The white light is a solid light and not flashing. The outer camera ring is aligned and I can press the reset button, but regrettably nothing happens when this is carried out despite holding it down for much longer than the required 9 seconds. I appear to be at dead-end as nothing appears to work whatever I do. As far as I am aware the battery is fully charged too. I have been using the power lead so I’m sure that this is not an issue.
Is there any other way to reset the camera?
Best regards
David

Yesterday I saw the firmware update. The camera was disconnected several times, but refreshed. After the update, the camera began to work. I do not know rejoice or wait for a problem? While working. Thank you ??, 28 ????. 2018 ?., 20:53 Logitech Community customercare@logitech.com: -

Sorry to hear about your problem. I can say that I received brilliant help from Logitech with several suggestions to help diagnose my problem. Eventually they believe I had a failure in the short term memory portion of the board in the camera. They say that they would like to take the camera back to confirm this via their service department. and asked me to return my camera so that this could be confirmed. I have since return the camera and received a replacement which has been set up without any issues.
This may not be what you want to hear especially if your camera is out of warrenty, but it may point you in the right direction.
Regards
Dave

@david,
One of my camera's is under 2 months old and already has been replaced once. Your not telling me that both my circle camera's are failing at the same time. And that all the other people that have issues with this specific firmware have faulty hardware. The main cause of this issue is software related. Or Logitech bricked the camera's by faulty flashing the firmware on the chip.

This is most likely an issue with 5.6.28. My camera has worked for +1 year with only vew issues. But since this update I have to reboot it daily. Hope for a new FW update. The Version before 5.6.28 was the most stable in my opinion.

Hi Aron - thanks for the fast reply. Where do I find the MAC address ?
I also don't want to post the MAC address of my cameras on a public forum. Can you send me your email. My email is fretief@icloud.com
