    Hi Folks, We have a new firmware (5.6.41) available which should resolve all of the issues with 5.6.28 mentioned here (low-light performance and battery drain problems). We will be testing this over the next week or so. For those who had these issues with 5.6.28 we would like for you to try this new firmware out and let us know how it handles. If you want to try it, please post back with your MAC address and say you want to test 5.6.41.

    Wow! Impressive work Aron!

    You had all six cameras done and rebooted in less than 5 minutes from the time I posted!

    I obviously haven't seen any difference in battery performance yet, but right off the bat I can see that the colors are much more vivid than they were in 5.6.28.

    I'm really impressed with the performance in a dark room too.

    What did you change? You MUST have upped the bitrate for starters.

    @mark scott? No change to the bitrate, this adjusts the color and light management based on the feedback we received from all of you and then replicating those scenarios ourselves and lots of testing. The battery drain issues were binary, either you experienced them or you didn't on 5.6.28.

    I also noticed that the richer colors also transfer over to the view from Homekit. Awesome!

    Speaking of Homekit; In the future I would love to see a higher res image for the camera screenshot that updates every 10/60 seconds in the Home app. The low-res image looks funny next to the one that my Omna camera uses.

    I'm impressed you didn't have to bump the bitrate to achieve these results.

    Thanks for your time.

    @mark scott? I will have my team look at what we can do with the snapshot resolution as part of our big HomeKit update coming soon.

    Hi

    You're quick, but by new camera isn't on the new firmware yet. The app (iOS) and Logi Circle webpage still says the new camera is on 5.6.28

    @Aron Rosenberg?

    Could you kindly look at upgrading my camera to the latest firmware

    Mac Address:

    44:73:D6:0B:22:66

    Also on another note. Any work likely to be done on the wireless side of things my Circle 2 struggles on 5Ghz network but is manageable on 2.4Ghz however sometimes complains of slow network speed.

    I have a linksys wrt32x router and my ipad and mobile devices can get a full signal on both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz networks upstairs and even on the 3rd floor. My camera is situated on the 2nd floor. Router on the 1st floor.

    The circle 2 camera is the only device which has issues.

    @Daniel Rosier? You are upgraded.

    On the WiFi side, there aren't any more core changes coming. The 5.6.x firmware had the big WiFi driver update. If your camera is having issues on 5Ghz, have you tried switching the channel your router runs on? Note that 5Ghz has issues penetrating most outside wall material, so if your cameras are outside your house that could explain part of the issue. Also, various countries impose restrictions on 5Ghz signal strength for outdoor devices so that may also be coming into play depending on if you checked the "Outdoor use" box when setting up the camera. What country are you in?
