Post the MAC addresses of your cameras and I will update them to the latest which has various fixes for Wire-Free connectivity problems.

@Martin Rohner? 5.2.41 is in pre-release early testing, which is why the app says there is no update available. If you post your MAC address I can push the firmware to your cameras.

    Hi @Aron Rosenberg?

I see now one camera with the FW 5.6.41, that‘s the one that was working so far. Connecting to the live view still takes an aweful lot of time, more than 20 seconds still.

The other camera which is offline, still has the old FW, and I can‘t get it back online. I just retried with completely deleting it from the app, reset the cam with the button, and then I fumbled around several times with trying to connect / reset until I finally managed to get the cam into the app again, but still, no freaking chance to get this cam correctly online, get a live view or get the FW updated...

What would be next steps? Honestly, soon my next step will be to ban this product from my house, since this is not working as expected at all... very disappointed...

    Regards

    Martin

@Martin Rohner? What kind of wireless router do you have? Does it have the latest firmware updates? Have you tried rebooting your router?

If the above doesn't change anything:

    1. Can you disconnect the battery from the camera for 60 seconds, then connect it back up and place the unit close to your home router.
    2. Leave the device plugged into a power outlet.
    3. If you get it back online, go into the camera settings ASAP and change the battery option to "Always On". Only do this if the unit is plugged in.

Let me know if you can do those, and I will try and push a firmware update again.

    Hi @Aron Rosenberg?

    So, here‘s what I tried:

    • my router is a brand from my hoster and is up to date, restarted and running smooth with every other device
    • I tried yesterday to disconnect the battery for over a minute, reconnect it and search with the app, no success, several times, several resets of the camera
    • I kept the battery on power over the whole night
    • I tried the same procedure today, several search attempts, resets and search again, reboot of the app, swap BT off/on, swap the WLAN connnection without success

Currently, I don‘t get the app to find the camera anymore, so I assume this little ****** is broken. Can I send that piece for repair, since I still have warranty?

    Regards

@Martin Rohner? Yes you can submit a warranty claim. When you reset it, does the camera go into Blue Blinky mode? Are you running Android 8.0 on your phone/tablet? Android 8.0 has a known issue with Bluetooth discovery which means you need to use a different version of Android (or a tablet or iOS device) to do setup.

@Aron Rosenberg? , yes the camera starts with green, and after a short time it starts to blink blue. I only use iOS devices, so this issue shouldn't apply for me. Any other ideas?

The only other thing I can think of is too try switching the frequency/channel that your WiFi access point operates on. Do you have different SSID's for 2.4 and 5Ghz? Can you try setup on a phone hotspot? If the HotSpot works, put the camera into Recording Off mode and I can push a FW update to it, then we can try again.

That might be an idea, if I could even find the camera in the app, but I don't get it in the app anymore, so this seems to be a case for the warranty... Sad, but I'm also very disappointed on the wait time until I get my live view working... Thanks anyway for all your help.

    Regards

Is it blinking dark blue or light blue? If light blue, then its not in pairing mode correctly, but rather trying to find WiFi. If light blue, you need to do the reset sequence again and make sure you really hold the button in until the LEDs flash multi-colors (about 9 seconds after holding button)

It’s dark blue, and I did the reset sequence meanwhile a few dozen times, still not working... I also tried to hold the button longer, then it starts to blink violet and red, then disconnect from battery and reconnect again, wait until the blue blinking starts, try to find the camera in the app, and still no success.... trust me, I tried a lot and invested quite some time now... and with the other cam which works with your Fw upgrade, the connection time isn’t really speedy so to say, it still takes more than 20 seconds to wake up and connect to the live stream, so also disappointing.... sorry to say that, but I gave the system abou a year and a half now to improve, and it only got worse, having now one cam which I can’t integrate anymore....
