Can't set up motion zones with Circle 2

It is literally impossible for me to set up motion zones and my trial is going to run out without trying this feature. It's showing an image of when my husband set up the camera and had his hand in front of the lens. If I hit live view and then zone editor it reverts back to this image again. I tried on a different computer and that just shows the text with no image at all.

  After adding or editing a zone you must click the cursor in the grey outside of the view box and the image will reappear with the motion zone on top.

  Took multiple minutes for the view to come up and depleted my battery by 2% but clicking on the grey area outside of the image worked to bring up the live view while setting up the zones. Thank you.
