Precisely the same symptoms here. Depressing and I hope Logitech fixes this. Camera alone works fine, selecting Logi Capture results in error and black screen. Win 10.18363 x64, Zoom from 02.04.

    Thanks for any workarounds!

I just uploaded a previous version 4.52 (no video BGs) to We Transfer.

I concur. I just downloaded the new Zoom install and Capture is no longer recognized by Zoom. As soon as I close Capture, Zoom recognizes my c920 when I choose it.

I need the features of Capture to zoom myself in otherwise I'm too far away for my liking.

HELP!!! I rebooted after the install and still nothing.

I am using 920s camera with Zoom and Logitech Capture. Has been working fine for months. Used it this morning. Received a zoom update mid day and logitech capture no longer works. Impact is unable to control camera settings such as zoom and left and right.

Yes, Logi capture no longer works with most the recent update to Zoom.  Since I just installed Zoom for the first time last week I had an old copy of Zoom and reinstalled it.  I had to manually put a shortcut on the desktop in Windows 10.  Hopefully this will get fixed soon.

    James,

Sort of. The thing with the Logitech capture is that all of the adjustments you make in that application can then be fed into the zoom like it's it's own camera, a separate input that carries all those settings with it. It would show up on Zoom like it's a different camera named logicapture. That's the part that stopped working for everybody with the zoom update.

OK y'all - it's back!  Version 4.6.10 of Zoom seems to have fixed it!

    longinthetooth.

I'd start by working through the capturing methods in zoom. My reasoning is that when they made it harder to bypass zoom security, one result might be that they used a different approach to handling incoming signal; many security complaints were related to unauthorized/intrusive broadcast of signal deemed offensive by viewers, so modifications there may well have been a top priority among zoom programmers.

After that, I would try the Logitech Capture settings, escalating to different combinations with the various zoom capture methods, just stepping through with a systematic checklist of combinations.

If nothing works there, I'd personally roll back to the previous version that worked (scroll up for info in some earlier posts) and wait for the extreme pressure on zoom to let up so they can get on top of all of these exceptions and push out some patches or new version.

Same here.  I purchased a Logi StreamCam about 10 days ago and have never been able to use Logi Capture with Zoom (although I try a different way every day).  When Logi Capture is open, both Logi StreamCam and Logi Capture come up as Camera options, but when I select LogiCapture, I get an error that says it can't start the camera and the view field is black.  When I try to go back to Logi StreamCam, the same thing happens (error and black screen).  When I close the LogiCapture app on my desktop, I can again use the Logi StreamCam option. So, I can't have the LogiCapture app open when I have Zoom open. I have no idea what camera settings Zoom is using with the StreamCam and I cannot control any of them.  I need to be able to as we're teaching an online fitness class and the StreamCam obviously has auto-focus as a default and the camera is constantly focusing and re-focusing making viewing almost impossible.

Same problem. By the way, if you stream to OBS and use their virtual CAM, Zoom will pick it up. OBS is not as good as Zoom with green screens, though.

Yes, thank you for the link to the older version of Zoom!  I thought it was something I had done to my Logi settings and have been messing with them for hours.  Turns out it was the Zoom update (gee, thanks, Zoom).  Any thoughts on when Zoom will make an update that doesn't clobber its ability to see LogiCapture as a video input?  I can see it now...they'll blame Logitech, Logitech will blame Zoom and no one will ever fix it.  Argh.

James, we all know you're really Tony Stark.  A change of first name and an extra "e" can't hide your prowess!  :-)

I sent a copy of this post to Zoom support.  I'm guessing they've got their hands full with all the pandemic zoomers.

James, thanks for the link.  We all owe you a virtual beer.

Thanks folks. I wish I had the version just before this, because I love doing my online meditations with a video of candles burning in the background. My guess is Zoom will do something, because many of their presenters use Logitech devices and they probably use Logi Capture as well. I have and I encourage you to do the same, put in a support request to ZOOM as well to try to solve this. In the meantime, keep this in a folder in case it breaks again. I thought I had been keeping copies of all the upgrades, but I guess I must have done the last couple of upgrades from the Zoom panel. I won't do that again.  Tony Stark is my much younger and more outrageous brother. ;-)

Amazing.  Thanks so much.  Works perfectly.  Just gotta make sure nobody clicks "yes" to auto-updates!  Very very very grateful.  :)

Hi, sorry if this is a different problem: I can use the Logitech 920 camera in Zoom, but my Logi Capture settings (format, zoom preset, etc.) are not preserved. Is this what everyone means?

    Thanks somuch!

Thanks so much! I never would have figured that out!

So the short-term fix is the older version James Starke uploaded, and the long-term is wait for Zoom. (Or switch to some other app.)

I really appreciate the quick answer.

    Best, Jim

However, I just noticed that upload is for Windows. This is a Mac (and I also have a Chromebook).

It is probably the same concept, be it windows, mac, or Chromebook. Where you "start video" you can usually also select which camera. If you don't see "logicapture" and you only see the direct input from your C920, it's probably not allowing you to use the input from the logi capture. Basically, when you're using the software it allows your system to see two cameras. The first is the raw input from the camera itself and the second should be the input from the Logicapture software. It appears that that second input is what got clobbered buy the latest Zoom update.

Same issue for Windows 10 64 bit, and Logitech 920. Can't use Capture when using ZOOM. So end up with a distant looking image. Ironic you can't zoom with ZOOM, or any of the other Capture features.

Have had similar issues with earlier versions of Capture and ZOOM. In both Logitech and ZOOM interests to work together to sort this out, otherwise both will get a bad name.

Thanks everyone for the quick and very informative answers. Anyone here use other videoconferencing apps that recognize Logi Capture?

I loved finding the download of the older version of Zoom in this thread earlier today.  I installed it and was able to overcome the issue with the Zoom update disabling my video.

When I logged out of Zoom just now, it forced the new update on me - I did not have the option to cancel.  FRUSTRATED!!!

Thanks a lot James Starke! You helped me through this night's zoom meeting. But is there a way for someone to upload Zoom 4.6.something as the virtual background with the 4.5.2 is kinda shaky. Thanks anyways! And advanced thanks for the one who will be able to upload ;)

@Don Marco, I agree. There is a later more stable version of Zoom before the one that crashed Logi Capture, but I never saved it, and unfortunately, the older version has to be reinstalled every time I restart my laptop, because I can't seem to find where to turn off auto-updates. Any ideas?
