    I have the same problem

Paying the premium subscription, actually it seems like the free plan was better for recording everything.

All cameras are on a strong wifi connection with AP's intentionally placed nearby.

    @ Logitech

    PLEASE ADVICE

yes I am sick of it now...their cameras are suppose to be a security item, so whats the point...I think I will cancel my subscription, so far logitech support has been useless

I still have the same problem with one out of three cameras. Ralyt, what AP are you using next to your cameras, is it BT Wholehome by any chance? That's what I'm using. Just trying to figure out what's going on seeing as customer service are no use.

Hey tech support got back to me and said they increased the sensitivity of the cams changing the firmware, the cams now seems to detect more moment, but I am still watching to see if the problem still is there.

Im using unify uap ac pro access points

Everything else on the network is rock solid... Averaging 500/60mbit

Tried a dedicated 2.4g network for the Circle 2's - no difference
Tried using HomePod as home hub as well as 2 Apple TV 4K - no difference

The previous firmware made thing a bit better, didn't try the new one as i reluctantly reverted to logitech firmware.

Didn't they release a change log like last time?

Rayjfoley, they've updated your firmware? Which one are you on? Mine were all on 5.6.49 with missed events on one cam, had a new camera I swapped with the problem camera and that automatically updated to 5.6.54 weirdly enough when my other cameras say there's no update from 5.5.49, but that's a separate issue. Anyway 5.6.54 still has missed events.

Rasmus, I thought about trying 2.4ghz only but I have other things connected to my AP that I want on 5ghz, and can't split the networks on my BT discs, sounds like it's not working for you anyway. I've never actually seen change logs for any updates, where are they usually? It would help if they were in the logi app!

Yes, thats what the reply was, I thought I had the most recent firmware, but tech support told me they updated it, all mine are now running 5.6.54, and i think the cams seem to be more sensitive to moment...but I have to keep checking did they miss any activity

Ah well 5.6.54 isn't any better for me, installed that camera 2 days ago and already had 3 or 4 missed events. Don't know why it's happening with just one camera though. That's why I thought it could be an issue with WiFi interference or something in that part of the house.

yea I was the same...2 cams looking at the same area, one cams picks up moment, the other one doesnt....both with perfect wifi and no interference. and I only notice it when I have to go back and check the recordings...it came to light when someone was at my door, one cam picked it up, and when we checked the other cam...had no recording of it!!!

I need to test that by putting another camera next to the problem area one and see what happens. It's unlikely there's a problem with the camera because I've used 2 different cameras with different firmware in that spot so surely it must be a WiFi problem in that area. I have AP near it with a strong signal though. Up to maybe a year ago I didn't have any problems so I'm still thinking it's something in my house causing interference, can't figure out what though!

Rayjfoley - How is it going with 2 cameras pointing at the same location, still missed recordings? I've just done the same with 2 cameras. Do you have them window mounted? The one missing recordings is window mounted, the other camera I've just put there is just on its stand, I'm testing if there's a difference between the two.

Hey, mine seem ok now, there doesn't seem to be any missed recordings, but the cams i have are wall mounted on the outside, I am going to keep checking them just to make sure.

rayjfoley - have you just mounted them outside or were they previously behind a window? Both my cameras behind the same window are missing the same recordings so I'm thinking it has to be a WiFi interference issue in that area, my other window mounted cameras are fine around the house.

No both my cams were always wall mounted and never behind a window. it must be a WiFi problem, have you tried reducing the resolution, this will reduce the bandwith going to the cams...worth testing it

Guess what I just checked my cams and they missed a recording again, one cam recorded a person calling, and the second cam didnt!!!!!

Nightmare! You using WiFi extenders? I'm pretty convinced it's WiFi interference. Yes I've tried lowering the resolution but it doesn't work. Tried moving about my WiFi extenders and closer to the cameras, changing WiFi channels, but nothing seems to work. If all my cameras had missed recordings it would make more sense.

It would help if we could access the logs of the camera like you can with routers and many other devices. I keep checking the logs of my BT WiFi mesh system and there's nothing unusual happening.

Yea Im the same, to be honest this is a crap system, I have had problems with it since day one, I have 4 cams, and in the beginning they were all dropping the wifi signal randomly....

I'm the opposite, had no problems up until the last several months and only one cam out of 4. To be honest you see the same issues with other cameras, if you just Google "WiFi security cam missed motion detection/missed recordings" you see loads of folk in forums complaining about all the top security camera companies, thats whats stopped me buying a whole new set of cameras.

Yea I guess so...I looked at other cams on the market but more money now getting all new cams again, and not even sure would they have the same problem. My cams had settled down until this "missing recordings" happened which I discovered by accident...

I got the same problem, just spent a week testing homekit secure video on ios14/tvos14 hoping it would fix the issues, unfortunately even though the interface and notifications are lightyears ahead of the circle app - the issue remains.

Most of the time, the cameras captures everything. Persons, Animals, Cars, general movement, and sends me a notification based on location and the video was captured and available.

But occasionally, I can walk in front of the cameras, no recording, no notification, NOTHING.

I have the same experience with the Logi app, premium subscription.

Actually, it seemed better on the free subscription... Too many notifications (And VERY slow notifications) and videos of trees moving in the wind and similar, but at least it seemed to capture everything.

Is anyone at Logitech actually checking these forums ??

This seems to be a common problem, and yes I wonder why Logitech is not addressing this issue?...Is the homekit better then the circle app?

The interface is (in my opinion) better, notifications are VASTLY faster, near instant. In Logi firmware, I could walk to my car, get in, drive 200m, and then finally get a notification.. on HomeKit, I can barely make it to the car before I’m notified.

IOS14 added motion zones which is awesome, and finally loading the feed takes a second or so... unlike 5-10 seconds on Logi firmware.

But doesn’t change the fact that that every few days the cameras seems to just freeze and ignore motion completely until they suddenly start working again.

I have no idea what’s wrong and no one at Logi seems to address the community. I was eyeballing the updated circle view, but other manufacturers are starting to look real interesting as support is non existent here. :/

Thanks for the update, I might change over to the HomeKit, Im guessing you can always revert back to the Circle App anyway, but yea...missing motion is still ongoing with me too, I thought the problem was solved, but again this morning, someone came to the front door, one cam recorded it and the second cam didn't see anything, in fact it didn't see anything for about 2 hours!!!...which really in terms of a security feature makes it useless, no one from support seems to be able to address this, I had some tech guy ask me questions and then said he updated the firmware......but still the same

In my experience the skipping is a lot worse in HomeKit, especially when its dark. Where logitech firmware captured all kinds of action overnight, cats, spiders, car headlights, and so on - HomeKit captured, NOTHING except me deliberately walking around in front of the cameras to try and trigger them - but even that was sometimes skipped...

I asked Logitech to downgrade my cameras, I'd say the main reason for having this system is security - and on HomeKit I can't rely on the cameras capturing motion - especially at night when its most important..

I only upgraded to HomeKit because ios14 was recently released, I was hoping the problems had been fixed - unfortunately in my experience, its better - but far from perfect.

Would you stay with HomeKit now or change back the Circle App?
