Lag and stutter Mx Master 3 on new M1 MacBook Air Big Sur

This is absolutely disgusting - not to receive a native M1 Mac driver for premium hardware that is advertised as dedicated hardware for macOS.

MX Master 3 for Mac - stutters, and lags all over the place. Had to purchase a unifying receiver (the driver for it also runs under Rosetta and has no native M1 support). It has marginally improved the performance, however, it still lags compared to a standard cable mouse.

Where is the support? Abandonware with Logitech style? Then advertise on your website - DOES NOT SUPPORT M1 PRODUCTS. I would love to see that.

You guys are "awesome". This is the last set of products I will ever purchase from you. Amazing support from a CORPORATION.

I'm also experiencing noticeable stutters and lags with MX Master 3 and my new MBA M1. Almost a year have passed since M1 was released and issue still exists.

I have some issues with the MX Master 3 on my M1 Mac mini as well. It stutters, and the app takes a lot of memory. It seems to be using Rosetta 2 as it is not natively rewritten for the Apple Silicon. I hope Logi Options releases a new update where the software gets compatible with M1 Macs.

i have the same problems with my Logi devices.

    tested with

    MX Anywhere 3 for Mac

    MX 720 Triathlon

    MX Master

all have the same lagging and stuttering.

If I connect my Apple Magic Mouse, I have no issues.

I am using the supplied Logitech usb dongle to connect my Master 3 mouse.
The Logitech unit is connected to my M1 Mac Mini via USB 3.0 Hub.

When only the Logitech unit is connected to the hub I face no strutting issue. By the moment I connect any other device on the hub, the mouse lags and stutter a lot.

Have you actually tried your solution https://support.logi.com/hc/en-gb/community/posts/360051348414/comments/4406083264663 ? Neither the installer nor the options app has a "Open using Rosetta" option. I don't think there is a way to run your app/driver using Rosetta.

Please provide a solution that you actually have tested and proved working, instead of just bullshiting us customers. This isn't Logitech.

    Hey Prem L,

I have Rosetta installed. I’m a engineer and I use Rosetta everyday so I know how to use it. There is no “open using Rosetta” option for options app at all.

Have your tech team actually tested your app on Apple M1? I bet not. Again, please give a solution that is tested and proved working, not just from your imagination.

    Hey Alvin,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Logitech Options is not compatible with Apple silicon ARM M1 / M1 Pro / M1 Max and is compatible with Apple Intel-based computers.

While Apple does offer a solution called Rosetta, which enables a Mac with Apple silicon to use apps built for a Mac with an Intel processor, Logitech Options is not fully functional using Rosetta and we advise against using it.

Logitech is working on an Apple silicon-compatible version of Logitech Options and we expect to have it available in the near future.

Feel free to get back to us if you have any further clarification and we will be happy to assist you.

    Hello Prem L

I have been using Options on my M1 Mac Mini for a year, via BlueTooth. I also use Options on my MacBook Pro Intel.

Truthfully...I see no difference. Also no lag or stutter when using my MX Master 3.

Please provide us with the specifics regarding Options, explaining what does not work via Options/Rosetta. Maybe I am missing something.

Sometimes the demon crash and buttons don’t work any Marie, often the mouse stutter, less now with LogiOption+. It consume more ram than needed. All these things could be fixed with a native Apple Silicon version.

Is Logitech also working on USBC unifying receivers? I currently have to run mine through a hub (Satechi). The hubs seem to also be a factor in connection difficulties for some people, but it's impossible to know which ones are problematic.
