I purchased the logitech C310 web camera at the beginning of the year and used it for several months without any problems. At some point I started having an issue whereby the camera would cut out during skype calls (or calls in any application using the camera). In the early days of having this problem I was able to just unplug the webcamera and plug it in again and it would normally solve the problem. For the last two months however the camera is sure to cut out. If I look in device manager I can see that the camera is connecting and disconnecting. Further more if I launch skype and open the settings menu to select the camera I can see the camera preview which then cuts to black periodically every few seconds. If I stay in this window my whole PC crashes with a windows blue screen "APC_Index_Mismatch".
I have a Dell Precision m4800 and my OS is windows 10 pro Version 10.0.18363 Build 18363 and the logitech c310 driver under device manger is version 13.80.853.0. I have the same issue on multiple computers - an Asus, an HP, a Sony. I have tried everything I can think of to fix this issue to no avail:
- I have tried to update the drivers
- I have tried to uninstall the drivers, reboot
- I have checked that power savings settings are disabled and under device manager -> usb root hub -> properties -> power management, I have turned off "allow the computer to turn this device off for power saving" (I did that for all three usb root hubs listed in my device manager)
- I've tried rolling back the camera driver updates to the previous version and it still doesn't work.
Short of giving up on the camera and buying something from another brand I don't know what to do.
Is anyone else having this issue? Can I get support from logitech?
