Same here. After updating unifying, unifying mouse, unifying keyboard, unifying receiver x 2 the window closes. When I hover the icon in the taskbar it is removed as if it's crashed.

Here as well. Same Thing. updater shows message since a week, over and over again, despite of update done.

    No Solutions from logitech?

    Could it be malware?

Same thing here, notifies that update is ready to download (3kb) and closes. On a next restart, same thing all over again.

I am on the latest Win 10 edition 20H2.

It runs even after I disabled "Logitech Download Assistant" on Startup, and it is very annoying!

I opened a support ticket for this and also referenced this blog today.

I have the same problem efter automatically new installation/upgrading of Logitech Options at 12/03/2020 and it's very annoying! Time and time again, that "Logitech Updater" comes up from the bottom right with the message that there are new updates but nothing happens! When I look in the activity fields, I am surprised to see 2 of the same "Logitech Updater".
It is a scandal that you still have not done anything about this. Do something about this junk otherwise the last time Logitech buys products.

Worst there is not any uninstaller in controllpanel to support us to remove this.

    I use Windows 7.

    Hello

I receive as well update information but unable to install those 3 KB updates. Autostart disabled for Logitech Updater until problem is solved.

I've had the exact same start to happen, problem is unlike A D above, I can't uninstall the old software as I still use both an old M705 which needs SetPoint and a newer MX Master.

(I still have the "Logitech Updater" issue left)
I also can not uninstall old Logitech software e.g. SetPoint because I have an older version keyboard that uses it. This is insane that Logitech is releasing two software pgm and running at the same time. Why such stupidity? Why should not one and the same software apply to everyone?

Exactly the same problem with me. The updater loads four updates that are 0.03 KB in size and disappears again after loading without installing them. This happens at least 10 times a day on Windows 10 Pro, version 20H2, build 19042.685.

    Hi All,

Don't forget to upvote the original post from Franco Dallera, it'll help it stay on Logitech's radar.

I have the same problem for some days in a row now. Very annoying indeed since the message pops up often. Win 10 2004 (19041.685), mx keys keyboard and (old) mx mouse.

I got the same problem.  I have a support ticket in to try and get this resolved.  So far, no joy.  I've completely uninstalled all logitech software and re-installed from fresh downloads, and still the problems exists.  Shutting off the auto updater is the only solution so far.

Ditto for me.  Annoying -- every day for a week or two.  I have not opened a support ticket.  Is anyone going to post solution here?

Today my computer crashed with a blue screen. I reported this problem about 2 weeks ago (see above), the Logitech team did nothing and today my computer crashed with blue screen. I will NEVER buy Logitech products again.

The problem is not Logitech option. You probably have a Logitech mouse before and you have to uninstall the previous Logitech software. I forgot the name.

    I solved the problem by:
    1. Removed old version of Logitech mouse and keyboard pgm (NOTE! Although I use an older keyboard as it needs!)
    2. Change the selection in updates in "pgm for unifying" to NOT automatically download and load new updates (ie chose the first choice that it should ONLY ask me ..)
    3. Restarted and the issue is resolved. The current pgm is only "Logitech Options" and nothing appears from "Logitech Updater" anymore!

Shame on Logitech support that I got NO HELP from them but fixed on my own with my own searches.

No guidance at all from Logitech???  Even after a solid month of many users having the same issue?  I ended up uninstalling Logitech Setpoint and Logitech Options, and now the updating popup that shows itself many times a day is gone.

Sadly I had a problem of MX Master 3 Mouse firmware updating last month and it bricked the mouse.  I think its just way better not to get any of the updates or option features from logitech, too many problems for the trouble.
