I upgraded my iCloud account from a regular "iCloud Storage" account to an "AppleOne Premium" account that includes iCloud storage. In the process, the ability to record and view recordings went away.
I've been on the phone with Apple support about an hour, and they have no idea. Claimed it was a firmware update (I don't see any recent camera firmware updates,) claimed it was related to using an AppleTV as a HomeKit Hub (I turned off the AppleTV, switched to using HomePod as hub, didn't fix it.)
