The OS is fresh install windows 11, I just installed Realtek out of desperation to see if it would solve the problem. This looks like a problem I had before with a usb webcam I used as an external mic, so I'd exclude the problem is due to the OS.
The headset is a Logitech g332, 1 jack split into speakers and microphone. I tried front and back jacks on the pc.
The motherboard is an MSI B450M mortar.
This is a video of the problem, I was speaking and hitting the microphone pretty much constantly, but all I can hear is background noise and that strange seemingly random clicking pattern.
I'm absolutely clueless as to what to do.
