    Hello George,

    Thank you for contacting us.

We kindly request you to follow the below mentioned.

    1. Make sure the webcam is connected directly to the computer and not to a hub, extender, switch, adapters or something similar.
    2. Disconnect/reconnect webcam to the same or different USB port.
3, Try different software. For example, Windows Camera app.
    4. Try on a different computer.
    5. Logitech webcam work on UVC drivers, which are by default included in most common operating systems. Try to run Windows update or update your Mac to the latest macOS version.
    6. Windows only: Delete the webcam from Device Manager, unplug the webcam, restart the computer, and plug in the webcam again.
    7. Try updating graphics card drivers (for image issues) or audio drivers (for audio issues).
    8. Check hardware compatibility and troubleshoot the connection.
    9. Upgrade firmware if available

    Thanks Daryl

Webcam is directly connected to mac (not via hub)

Tried also different ports and on another mac with different OS versions too as mentioned.

All the rest you mentioned are not applicable.

Firmware I checked from downloads and not seeing any. Unless such f/w are located elsewhere.

You sure this this model c920 is meant to work and produce Stereo Sound and work on a mac also (besides windows)? Btw this link above for some reason redirects to the c920s model and not the c920.

P.S no need to share windows info since I clearly mentioned its for a mac.  Will keep it simple for others too.

    Thanks

Just tested this on 2 more mac's and also a fresh PC(Windows) and also on a macbook with bootcamp (Windows OS)

... and all showed no OUTPUT Sound to c920 Webcam

Did I just find the biggest marketing mistake by Logitech to market a webcam with HD stereo but has no Audio out at all even though it has 2 side speakers on it?

Only makes sense either a incorrectly marketed product or its a faulty one from a sealed box.
(exactly what I wanted to avoid and why I chose Logitech).

What can I say.  Seeing "with stereo audio" one would assume it has stereo sound output with its two side speakers. Instead marketing means "stereo audio mic" (input). So this model c920 has no audio/sound out. I am to blame ofc, but surely Logi - clarify such titles...

    Same issue here

    MAC 10.14.6

    C920e camera

Cam works fine, no mic audio.

    Tried in several different applications.

Have another one of these cameras in the office and it works fine.

    Problem SOLVED!!!!

turns out this is a known logitech issue.  some older C290 webcams are fine.  more recent versions are being shipped with the microphones disabled....
