Cannot turn Circle View camera on mount

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. I just got a Circle View camera, and I'm following the instructions. I attached the mount to the wall, and then the instructions say to place the camera in the mount and turn. I cannot turn the camera when I place it in the mount. I thought maybe I'd attached the mount too securely to the wall and it was bending, preventing the camera from seating correctly, but when I removed the mount and just stuck it to the back of the camera, I still cannot turn it to lock it in place.

Are the manufacturing tolerances between the camera and mount incredibly tight or something? I cannot mount the camera currently no matter what I try to do.

  It seems like I took the exact same pill. I cannot turn the camera to put it on lock position.

  I ended up trimming edges of bump on the mount a little bit to let the lock start engaged. Twisted several times to scratch the bump and then finally it worked.

  Run the cable along the wall as eloquently as you can and plug everything in. After being plugged in, the camera will blink a few different colors. Once you see a blue ring of light, sync the camera up to the Circle App on your device. Once you see the field of view for the camera, readjust if needed.

  I have the same issue. Thought once I had the bracket on the wall then force could make it work but still not locking. frustrating. I purchased three of these and just drilled the hole in our exterior wall to hook up the first one.

  Mark please describe a little more how you trimmed the edges of the bump on the mount. Is that the interior ridge?

  I have the same issue. Waiting to hear from support. Anyone have any quick fixes - very frustrating.
