The QuickCam ribbon provides easy to access setting options. For all supported cameras, these options are presented in 4 basic categories as described below. QuickCam 10 and 11 also supports RightLightTM 2, this feature is supported on Logitech's newer camera line and will provide settings options if a RightLightTM 2 capable devices is detected.
Cancel Echo – Enables or disables AEC for RightLight and RightLight 2 supported cameras.
Select Speakers – Allows you to select desired speaker source for video calling and recording applications.
Audio Tuning Wizard – Launches the Audio Tuning Wizard
Advanced Settings Advanced Settings provide access to more advanced camera controls and settings.
Use Automatic settings– Gives you the option to use automatic or manual exposure and gain settings.
Anti Flicker– Allows you to set proper refresh rate.
Image Orientation– Allows you to mirror or flip an image horizontally, vertically or upside down.
Camera Selector– Allows you to toggle and select a desired camera if more than one is connected.
Return to Default Settings– Returns the camera settings back to factory defaults.
Application Preferences The Application Preferences allows you to configure application settings and operation behavior for Quickcam
Select video call application – Allows you to select the desired video calling application (if installed) to be used with proprietary camera features (supported cameras only).
Select e-mail client– Allows you to select MAPI compliant email application.
Select photo storage folder– Allows you to select desired storage location for captured picture files.
Select video storage folder– Allows you to select desired storage location for captured video files.
Show webcam icon in Windows toolbar– Provides the option to show QuickCam icon in Windows systray.
Keep QuickCam on top of other applications– Provides the option to keep the QuickCam menu on top or behind other open applications.
Auto Preview photo or video after capture– Provides the option to show a preview of captured picture files using Windows default picture viewer and captured video files using Windows Media Player.
Privacy Shade Behavior – The is a proprietary camera dependant feature (Communicate STX) Allowing you to select the desired operation to be used when mechanical privacy shade is lifted
RightLightTM Settings The RightLight Setting options will appear in the settings menu only if your camera supports the RightLightTM2 feature. From this location, RightLightTM can be enabled or disabled. When enabled, your camera will automatically be adjusted depending on your current lighting conditions. If disabled, you will have the option to manually adjust low light setting options such as:
Low Light Saturation
Low Light Boost
Video Noise
Spot Metering
