Similar looking telephones have different electrical specifications. The Configuration Switch on the back of the Amplifier allows you to select the proper setting for your telephone. Note: This procedure is only necessary during initial setup.
- Slide the Headset/Handset switch to Headset position.
- Lift the handset.
- Make sure the Mute button is not pressed. The green ring will be visible.
- The control has six positions. Move the Configuration Switch through positions 1-6 until you hear a dial tone. Multiple settings may produce a dial tone but only one will also allow you to be heard by the party you are calling.
- To confirm you are on the correct setting for your phone, place a phone call and test that your voice can be heard by the receiving party. If you cannot be heard, slide the Configuration Switch to another position until you can both hear and be heard.
